The New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO), a premier professional organization serving more than 1,000 members statewide, is seeking an accomplished, dynamic, and forward‑thinking leader to serve as its next Executive Director. This highly visible position serves as the Association’s chief executive officer and primary administrative representative, responsible for advancing NJASBO’s mission, supporting its membership, and ensuring organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Association from its headquarters.
- Provide meaningful support, guidance, and resources to NJASBO members.
- Serve as the Association’s liaison to state and federal legislators, the New Jersey Department of Education, and statewide and national professional organizations.
- Represent NJASBO at local, state, and national conferences and events.
- Foster strategic growth by guiding the development, implementation, and evaluation of
long‑range organizational plans.
Promote effective communication across the membership and broader educational community.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 10 years of New Jersey school business experience.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and technology skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Position DetailsStart Date :
On or before July 1, 2026, or as soon as the selected candidate is available.
Salary :
Minimum $150,000, with final compensation commensurate with experience.
Hiring is contingent upon a successful background check.
