Founded in 1998 with the specific mission of providing integrated ecological and engineering consulting services, Princeton Hydro offers mission-driven expertise in natural resource management, water resources engineering, geotechnical design and investigation, and regulatory compliance.
We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee and optimize the operations of our Business Administration Office. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is critical in ensuring organizational compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment across multiple states, helping Princeton Hydro maintain operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for the Business Administration Office, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of all business licenses, registrations, and certifications (e.g., Public Works Contractor Certification, SBE)
- Prepare, submit, and oversee required filings, reports, and disclosures to state and federal agencies to ensure ongoing compliance
- Track expiration dates and proactively manage compliance calendars
- Set up and manage state- and federal-level business accounts for compliance and operational needs
- Review contracts and agreements for compliance and operational considerations, collaborating with the COO and counsel as appropriate
- Develop and oversee internal policies to maintain regulatory compliance and operational integrity
- Collaborate with finance leadership to support accurate reporting and compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related audits and inquiries
- Extensive experience in business administration and compliance with a proven ability to lead complex processes and drive strategic initiatives
- Proven track record of managing compliance requirements across multiple states and federal levels
- Demonstrated leadership in developing policies and improving operational efficiency
- Familiarity with finance processes and reporting
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to influence strategic decisions and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in a multi-state or multi-location organization
- Background in regulatory compliance and operational risk management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required
- Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
