Position: RN Nursing Supervisor 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am (Monday

RN Nursing Supervisor – 3pm to 11pm (Monday–Friday)

Location: Belle Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center – Hamilton Township, NJ

Shift: 3pm–11pm and 11pm–7am (Monday–Friday)

Pay: $43.00–$46.00 per hour

Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Verifies daily staffing and redistribution as necessary.
  • Collaborates with charge nurses and other department supervisors to coordinate resident care and communicate concerns.
  • Performs rounds (morning and night) to assess residents’ condition, with special attention to critically ill residents.
  • Ensures each resident’s care plan is followed.
  • Performs medication passes and direct resident care as needed.
  • Participates in resident care committee meetings.
  • Reinforces training and orientation of nursing personnel and provides positive reinforcement.
  • Responds to emergencies throughout the shift (e.g., sudden change in resident condition or pronouncement of death).
  • Assists in providing a safe and sanitary environment for residents, employees, and visitors.
  • Secures the building during evening and night hours by checking doors and alarms per protocols.
  • Reviews incident and investigative reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitors meal service on units and in dining areas to identify issues that require intervention.
  • Assists in developing and implementing the nursing facility Quality Improvement Program.
  • Ensures residents and families receive high quality, compassionate service that respects their needs and rights.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state registration.
  • Experience in nursing (including long‑term care).
  • Supervisory experience in long‑term care environment.
Job Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, and practices.
  • Knowledge of specialized procedures and equipment for the assigned area.
  • Knowledge of dietetics, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of medications, dosages, and expected results.
  • Skill in handling and manipulating instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise nursing functions effectively.
  • Empathetic attitude toward residents and ability to build their confidence.
  • Ability to follow oral and written technical instructions.
  • Ability to recognize symptoms and make quick decisions in emergencies.
  • Ability to train subordinates and organize training provided by staff.
  • Ability to interact positively with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
  • Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
Related Duties
  • Interact with residents, families, visitors, and employees.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested that require hands‑on intervention or participation.
