Seeking Floating Nurse Auditor to support multiple NJ locations
Job Summary:
The Nurse Auditor (LPN/RN) is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality of care standards. The ideal candidate maintains strong attention to detail while adapting to various patient care environments.
Auditing & Compliance
- Review patient medical records for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure documentation meets federal, state, and facility guidelines
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential billing/coding issues
- Collaborate with clinical staff to correct documentation errors
- Assist with internal audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
- Previous auditing, quality assurance, or compliance experience
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, specifically Point Click Care
- Certification in healthcare quality or auditing (optional)
