Salesperson​/Store Driver Store

Job Overview

Entry‑level position available for Salesperson and Store Driver roles at Advance Auto Parts. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and fleet safety certification is preferred.

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help the store reach its sales targets.
• Perform DIY services such as battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and more.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers and pick or stage parts for orders.
• Pick up returns, cores, and deliver weekly/monthly sales flyers.
• Conduct daily collection of credit accounts.

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).
• Perform general stocking tasks, including truck and back‑stock stocking.

• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Proficiency with delivery board and inventory systems.
• Friendly communication skills.
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
• Strong safety knowledge and skills.
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems.
• Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus). Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately in all units of measure.
• Work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends as needed.

• 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Automotive parts experience (preferred for Store Driver). Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required.

The employee will predominantly walk or stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Vision required includes close, distance, color, depth, and focus adjustment.

The work environment is mainly indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure. Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, vibrations, and moderately loud noise.

Hourly rate: 15.95 USD – 16.95 USD (depending on location, experience, and other factors).
