Job DutiesManage the sale of company's products and services within a defined database. Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning and deployment of strategies. Identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short‑term and long‑term sales and earnings. Using multiple means, prospect new business, manage inbound customer inquiries, and grow existing business in order to generate sales. Document information gathered from customers in the CRM system.
Meet sales metric requirements, financial goals, and corporate objectives. Perform sales activities on major accounts, negotiate sale price and discounts. Provide Technical consultation. Create and execute long‑term and short‑term strategy. Be responsible for growth of new accounts as well as focus on maintaining existing accounts. Work with current customers and prospects to meet desired sales and service needs. Participate in plant visits to gather samples, observe instruments, obtain information, analyze/interpret results, and report any corrective actions to the customer.
Outline, present and sell the value of products and services that can benefit customer needs. Conduct required training of Customer operating personnel to ensure their understanding of the parameters under which their equipment operates. Create opportunities, understand customer drivers, negotiate, and close orders. Value‑sell in a price‑competitive industry. Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue stream. Implement specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all product categories consistent with company goals and overall strategy.
Mentor Regional Managers, train in the field and office‑sales (best practices) and technical (Industry knowledge). Plan/Conduct trainings for internal sales team. Travel up to 75% of the time, complete all visit reports on time and all documentation. Travel at or under budget, travel smart with adequate planning. Review strategy with management at the beginning of each forecast year. Independently implement strategy.
Selling on market price (not GM) for your Region based on your experience and knowledge of competition and customer, regional and global. Help develop procedures for quicker sales, paperwork, quick reference sheets, etc. for sales team. Develop into company SME / representative for company for a given industry. Sit on board of trade associations for those industries we service.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Engineering or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and/or technical experience. Must have 1 year of experience in aftermarket sales in industrial applications including experience in/with:
Microsoft Outlook and Excel; sales negotiation, prospecting, and closing; delivering persuasive and understandable presentations; & making accurate sales forecasts. Up to 75% U.S. domestic travel is required.
Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
