Our Electrical Controls Technician I play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of pipeline facilities. This entry-level role is perfect for those with a solid foundation in electrical and control systems, looking to grow their skills in a dynamic environment.

As you develop, you'll also gain operational competencies to become a Level I Station Operator—building a well-rounded understanding of both technical and operational aspects of our compressor stations.

• Maintain electrical systems and equipment such as switch gear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
• Maintain DC electrical systems and equipment such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters.
• Maintain station and unit level electrical control systems and their components such as PLCs, HMIs, and control networks.
• Maintain station and unit level electrical control system end devices such as motor controls, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, temperature sensors, limit switches, solenoids, and actuators.
• Maintain safety systems and their components such as ESD panels, gas detectors, flame detectors, and manual activation switches.
• Assist in planning work and contributing budget-related information as required, consistent with the annual budgeting process.
• Ensure the proper operation, compliance, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of station systems such as air systems, air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression, prime mover, and all other equipment necessary to maintain gas delivery through the compressor station.
• Perform station maintenance activities, including but not limited to wastewater and/or environmental compliance and documentation, gas loss reporting, daily station inspections, and station operations.
• Responsibilities may require daily oversight and support of station activities, including weekends and extended coverage up to seven days per week.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions, while completing accurate documentation and reports in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.

Who you are:

• High school graduate or equivalent education with minimal years of directly related experience in electrical/instrumentation and industrial type settings.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred assets:

• Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.

• Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
• Residency Requirement:
  Must reside within 30 Miles of the assigned reporting location.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.
• Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician.

Salary Range:
Between $29.25 USD and $43.75 USD.
