Builds and modifies tools, dies, jigs, molds and fixtures using precision bench and machining operations with the assistance and supervision from a level 3 or 4 Tool and Die Maker

• Assist Tool and Die Makers with their work
• Basic machining and grinding.
• Grind and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Perform work under Tool and Die Maker supervision
• Have beginning to basic knowledge of mills, saws lathes and grinders
• Possess basic working knowledge of subject matter
• Currently going to Tool and Die school through TCAT or equivalent, or recently finished Tool and Die school through TCAT or equivalent
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• 0 to 2 years of relevant tool and die experience

• Ability to interpret work instructions
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Able to use and read measuring equipment
• Manual dexterity
• Detail-oriented
• Organizational skills
