Based in Trieste, Italy, Elettra is an international synchrotron and free-electron laser facility at the forefront of advanced scientific research and technology.
What you’ll work on

Quantum algorithms and methods
Performance evaluation on real quantum hardware and HPC simulations
Scientific computing for large-scale experimental data
Cross‑disciplinary research bridging quantum computing and synchrotron science

The position is part ofQUASAR FVG project(FSC - 44620/25 GRFVG, CUP: D93C), aiming to advance scalable quantum computing platforms, particularly in the context of neutral‑atom technologies.

Profile

PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with experience in:
Quantum computing (algorithms, frameworks such as Qiskit or similar)
Computational methods & data analysis
Scientific software development in Linux environments
