Overview In this role you will lead and coordinate all operational planning functions at the terminal, including vessel, yard, rail, berth, and documentation planning. You will guide planning strategies to maximize capacity, equipment use, and service levels for container and RORO operations, while ensuring safe, efficient execution. You will collaborate with Cargo Control, Gate Operations, Execution, Marine Services, and Commercial teams to align plans with real-time operations.

Your work will focus on improving planning accuracy, reducing re-handling, and driving continuous improvement across planning and documentation. This is an opportunity to shape terminal performance at a major logistics hub.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Vessel, Yard, Rail, Berth, and Documentation & Cargo Control planning teams with high-quality outputs and compliant workflows.

Develop planning strategies to optimize terminal capacity, equipment utilization, and service levels for container and RORO operations.

Oversee long- and short-term planning aligned with forecasts, customer needs, and terminal capabilities.

Set planning and documentation standards, procedures, and best practices for consistency and accuracy.

Ensure accurate vessel stowage, yard allocation, rail loading, berth schedules, and cargo documentation.

Coordinate with Cargo Control, Gate Operations, Execution, Marine Services, and Commercial teams for seamless flow.

Provide senior decision support during disruptions, delays, or capacity constraints.

Monitor real-time operations and proactively adjust plans to maintain service levels.

Oversee full documentation cycle (EDI processing, work orders, manifests, customs) and service recording in the TOS.Ensure cargo control deadlines and operational documentation are timely and accurate.

Ensure DG documentation, segregation, and reporting comply with IMDG and port regulations.

Guarantee data integrity and timely delivery of pre-billing information and reports.

Analyze performance indicators (turnaround time, yard productivity, rail efficiency, berth utilization, documentation accuracy).Identify bottlenecks and lead improvement initiatives to boost planning accuracy and productivity.

Maintain data integrity within the TOS and support system enhancements.

Prepare regular performance reports for senior management.

Maintain relationships with shipping lines, rail operators, port authorities, and external stakeholders.

Represent the Planning Department in operational meetings and customer reviews.

Communicate planning decisions and constraints clearly to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with IMDG, port rules, navigational safety standards, and terminal procedures.

Oversee DG segregation planning, vessel safety constraints, and yard safety considerations.

Support safety audits and contribute to safe planning practices.

Lead and develop planning and documentation teams with a focus on technical capability and operational awareness.

Conduct performance evaluations and support career development.

Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications Bachelor diploma in Economy, Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline (advantage).Intermediate English writing and speaking; fluency or advanced level is an advantage.

Minimum 10 years in terminal operations, vessel/yard/rail planning with 3-5 years in leadership role.

Strong understanding of port logistics, handling equipment, and multimodal operations.

Experience with TOS implementation is a strong advantage.
