Occupational Therapy
Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy rehabilitative programs that help restore vocational, homemaking and daily living skills. Administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Participate in operational aspects and quality improvement processes of the department; maintain performance improvement activities within the department. Participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Other duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited school or college of Occupational
- Holds an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Preferred:
Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy. - Current BCLS certification.
