Surgical Suite Coordinator Mt. San Rafeal Hospital

Overview

Work closely with general surgeons, assist with in office minor procedures, follow protocols for pre-op testing, schedule PACE appointments, obtain insurance authorization, referrals and schedule surgeries. Must have good communication and organizational skills. Responsible for patient care including but not limited to assessment, treatment and education as well as open, timely communication with patients and families. Other duties as required.

• Experience with in office minor surgical procedures preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes preferred
• Continuous movement throughout the clinic
• Continuous standing (up to 7 hours)
• Ability to read and understand English
• Ability to interact with physicians, patients, families and staff in a professional manner
• Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature
• Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to lift up to 30% of your body weight
• Intermittent bending, kneeling, and squatting
• Current BLS

• One-year clinic and/or general surgery experience preferred
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, etc
• Minimum certification Medical Assistant, up to Registered Nurse
