Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist III-IV role in Troutdale, OR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment) to produce precision parts according to specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with tolerances.

  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.

  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) and document results.

  • Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency.

  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and reporting any malfunctions or repair needs.

  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and team members to optimize machining processes.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining preferred.

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience (CNC Machinist III) or 5+ years with advanced knowledge of setups, complex parts, and multi-axis equipment (CNC Machinist IV).

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and GD&T.

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.

  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and conduct quality inspections.

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work swing shift and overtime as needed.
