Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance    Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays    About the Role   An established and growing building services contractor is seeking an experienced  Mechanical Contracts Manager  to oversee the successful delivery of multiple mechanical projects across the South West and surrounding regions.  This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and technically competent professional looking to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring quality, safety, profitability, and client satisfaction are consistently achieved.  

Working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and senior management, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing mechanical installations across a range of commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public sector projects.

Key Responsibilities    Managing multiple mechanical projects simultaneously from inception to handover.
Overseeing project programmes, budgets, resources, and procurement activities.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Managing project teams, including site managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors.
Monitoring project performance and reporting on progress, risks, and financial status.
Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and design information.
Supporting tender reviews and pre-construction planning activities.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation and company procedures.
Managing variations, valuations, and commercial aspects in conjunction with commercial teams.
Attending client meetings and providing regular project updates.
Candidate Requirements    Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar within the building services sector.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services installations.
Experience delivering commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, or public sector projects.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and profitability.
Ability to lead and motivate site and project teams.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems.
Full UK driving licence.
