We’re looking for a Customer Representative for our branch in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.

This is a permanent, full‑time position (35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday). The branch is closed to the public on Tuesdays and Fridays; during these days you’ll primarily support customers by taking calls on our savings line and provide banking support over the phone. You must be within a 45‑minute commute of the branch.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deliver great customer experiences across branch, phone, and digital services, with care, clarity, and confidence.
  • Welcome customers into the branch, understand their needs, and offer friendly help with banking.
  • Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, keeping customer needs, security, and fairness front of mind.
  • Guide customers through banking products and services appropriate to them.
  • Work closely with colleagues in a busy environment, supporting one another to deliver excellent service even at peak times.
  • Follow processes, spot potential issues, and raise concerns to protect customers and the bank.
  • Maintain the meaningfulness of face‑to‑face banking on the high street.
About you
  • Experience or passion for customer service; no banking experience required.
  • Show pride in helping customers feel confident, supported, and listened to, even when busy or complex.
  • Bring patience, empathy, and strong people skills to fully understand customer banking needs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Remain calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and embrace a positive mindset.
  • Confident using technology and digitally savvy.
  • Enjoy working as part of a high‑performing team, understanding that great customer experiences are built through strong teamwork.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, guiding customers face‑to‑face, on the phone, and digitally.
  • Take ownership to get things done and act with care and integrity to protect customers and their money.
