Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Bank Lecturers to support our Pathways provision on an as-needed basis.

Our Pathways programmes are designed to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and additional learning needs to develop the skills, confidence and independence required for adulthood, employment, further education and community participation.

As a Bank Lecturer, you will be part of a pool of staff who can be called upon to provide both short-term and longer-term teaching cover, as well as support the expansion of provision and new opportunities that arise throughout the academic year.

Hours offered as required during term time, subject to curriculum delivery and learner requirements.

What You'll Do

You will deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences that help learners develop:

* Independence and life skills

* Communication and social interaction skills

* Employability and workplace readiness

* Personal confidence and resilience

* Functional English and Maths skills where appropriate

* Preparation for progression into employment, supported internships, further education or independent living

You will work closely with Academic Support Coaches, curriculum teams, employers and external agencies to ensure learners achieve their individual goals and outcomes.

What You'll Bring

* A Level 3 qualification or higher and/or significant experience in a related subject

* Experience working with learners with SEND or additional learning needs

* Experience in FE, supported learning, employability or life skills would be advantageous

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* A flexible, adaptable and learner-centred approach

* A genuine commitment to helping young people develop confidence and independence

* Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential—we welcome experienced industry professionals looking to move into education

Experience with in Further Education, supported learning, employability training, life skills education or community-based learning would be particularly advantageous.
