If you're not afraid of numbers, you work in a methodical manner with great attention to detail, and have experience of working in a payroll environment, we have the ideal opportunity for you! Join Wiltshire Pension Fund as a Pension Fund Payroll Officer.

Wiltshire Pension Fund are responsible for looking after the pensions for over 88,000 members on behalf of over 170 local government employers within the county - and this includes paying the pensions to members who are now retired. As a Pension Fund Payroll Officer, you will be working alongside the Payroll Manager to make sure this happens in a timely and accurate way.

In the role, you will be responsible for making sure the monthly pensioner payroll is accurate, completing statutory returns and making associated payments, such as RTI returns to HMRC and tax payments, and for responding quickly to immediate payment requests. You’ll provide a high‑quality service to all scheme members, making sure all queries are dealt with effectively and aligned to the Fund’s values.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and thrive under pressure, while meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities. They will be highly numerate, organised, and demonstrate exceptional personal skills as collaborating effectively with others is a key part of this role. We are seeking candidates who ideally have experience of working in a payroll team with specific knowledge of pensioner payrolls.
