Job Description

Our client, one of the fastest growing CPA Firms in Michigan, is looking to add to their growing team. If you have a passion for public accounting and seeking a client focused firm, this is a firm to consider. They are seeking a high-energy, driven Senior Associate
.

Responsibilities:

• Know accounting and reporting standards and ability to research and develop applicable conclusions based on this research
• Understand assignments and follow instructions
• Complete work assignments on a timely basis
• Recognize client problems and assist in developing solutions
• Assume full responsibility for small and medium-size audit engagements, including development of work programs
• Assume full responsibility for compilation and review engagements
• Work on research assignments involving "theory" and such "conceptual" areas as materiality and interrelationships of accounts.
• Prepare audit programs and time budgets
• Train and supervise the staff members assigned to engagements
• Ability to effectively utilize the tax research tools available
• Prepare and review complex individual income tax returns
• Prepare and review basic corporate, partnership and not for profit income tax returns

Requirements:

• High levels of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession
• Must be a certified public accountant
• Demonstrated ability in all areas of the staff and senior accountant evaluation criteria
• Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and realization.
