Senior Accountant

Minimum 3+ Years experience in Financial Analysis /FP&A

Venteon is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to fill an opening with an Industry Leader and Employer of Choice with headquarters in the Metro Detroit area. The ideal candidate will be a critical contributor to the company s overall financial success.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, One Stream).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and manage general ledger operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting procedures.
• Assist with tax compliance and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on high-risk and non-standard journal entries.
• Assist in preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries regarding significant estimates and assumptions.
