Senior Accountant; Tax

A well-established, high-touch public accounting firm in Troy, Michigan is seeking a Senior Accountant / CPA with 6–15 years of public accounting experience and a strong focus on tax. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, and contributing to a collaborative small-firm environment.

The position also offers an established pathway toward partnership and firm ownership for the right individual.

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, S-Corporation, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Process and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
• Provide tax planning and identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and respond to technical accounting and tax questions.
• Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and financial statement preparation.
• Apply knowledge of GAAP and applicable accounting and tax requirements.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Participate in client meetings, firm initiatives, and business development activities.
• Contribute to firm management and strategic initiatives with the potential for advancement into a partnership role.

• Strong overall proficiency with accounting and tax software.
