Specialist - Corporate Planning

Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Corporate Planning Specialist in the Corporate Planning department. The Corporate Planning Specialist functions with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for supporting company wide strategic activities for Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA), and TG Americas Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).

• Support company wide activities such as Hoshin, Risk Management, and Policy Management in collaboration with Japan Headquarters and AMCs
• Create high-level communication materials and presentations for senior management
• Organize and support meetings to discuss strategic direction cross-functionally
• Support government affairs and the assessment of government policies on the Company
• Support community involvement initiatives
• Support management in strategic planning and provide them with tools to enable them to develop strategic plans with their teams
• Manage executive meeting planning, reports/presentations, and meeting minutes
• Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
• Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork are crucial to organizational and individual success
• This role requires the flexibility and willingness to complete other duties and projects as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required
• Minimum of three years of related experience is preferred
• Japanese business experience and Japanese language skill preferred
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is required
• Demonstrable capability to deliver tangible business results is required
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office is required
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
• Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation and written communication skills are required
• Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
• Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required
• Experience working within an automotive manufacturing organization is preferred
