Summer Seasonal, Bilingual
Imagine walking into a school where students have never put on a VR headset, never met someone working in the careers they dream about, and never had a chance to “try on” their future. Now imagine being the person who changes that.
At Emerge, we bring careers to life—not with textbooks, but with technology, storytelling, and hands‑on experiences that open eyes and spark ambition. And we’re looking for the person who will carry that magic into classrooms, gyms, auditoriums, workplaces, and community events across Michigan.
If you’re the kind of person who loves meeting new people, thrives on variety and feels energized when you’re helping students discover something for the first time, this is your role. You’ll be the friendly face, the tour guide, the storyteller and the “this is so cool!” moment‑maker. You’ll help schools run XR experiences, support career challenges, activate Intern Experience events and represent Emerge everywhere emerging talent gathers.
This is more than a job—it's your chance to help students see their future in a whole new way.
What You’ll Do Bring XR to Life- Travel to schools, events and community sites to run immersive XR sessions.
- Set up, manage, clean and troubleshoot VR/MR equipment (don’t worry—we’ll teach you!).
- Help students step into virtual jobs, learn new skills and see what’s possible.
- Make technology feel fun, safe and surprisingly approachable.
- Support career challenges—real‑world problems from real employers.
- Help deliver Intern Experience events that connect young talent with Michigan’s leaders.
- Facilitate activities, short lessons and hands‑on engagement with students of all ages.
- Keep the energy high, the experience meaningful and the students excited.
- Build relationships with educators, employers, counselors and community partners.
- Support employer‑led collaboratives by conducting interviews, gathering insights and helping share industry stories.
- Represent Emerge at career fairs, community events and professional gatherings.
- Serve as the “boots on the ground” connector between industry and education.
- Prep materials, equipment and logistics for each visit or event.
- Collect feedback and engagement data to help the team improve and innovate.
- Share ideas, observations and stories from the field.
- Pitch in on marketing, communication and program development projects.
- A natural connector who enjoys starting conversations anywhere, with anyone.
- Curious, adaptable and eager to learn new technology—even if it’s brand new to you.
- Organized and reliable, with a talent for juggling many moving parts.
- Excited by the idea of helping students see new career pathways.
- Energized by hands‑on work where every day feels a little different.
- Team‑oriented and mission‑driven—you want your work to matter.
- Experience working with youth, community programs, events, education or customer service.
- Interest in XR/VR technology (no experience necessary—we’ll train you!).
- Ability to travel regularly to schools and event sites.
- Comfortable lifting and transporting equipment cases (20–40 lbs).
- Occasional early mornings, late evenings or special events.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
