Graduate Research Assistant - MPA

Job Summary

The Graduate Research Assistant position in the MPA program is responsible for assisting the Director of School of Social Science, the Director of Graduate Studies (MSIR and MPA), and the MPA faculty in the Public Administration area with the administrative tasks related to research, assessment and accreditation.

• Must be a current Troy University graduate student pursuing a Master in Public Administration and in good academic standing.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff and other students.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate initiative, reliability and discretion.

• Experience with research methods, data collection or data analysis; familiarity with SPSS, STATA, R or Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Powerpoint); experience with databases, online survey tools or learning management system.
