Your

Key Responsibilities
  • Support hardware architecture design, including component sizing and selection, contributing to development and/or validation of complex mechatronic systems (e.g., selection of micro-processors, sensors, actuators, DAQ devices, signal processing circuits for HiL test environments)
  • Perform data analysis in supporting system characterization/modeling, continuous improvement efforts, calibration, triage and validation activities
  • Develop (architect, design, implement, validate, and parameterize) algorithms to enable intended system function in coordination with stakeholder and application requirements
  • Interfacing teams – effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to complete assigned tasks
  • Be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction
  • Engage in developmental opportunities through projects, job-rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's technological processes
Your Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
  • Extremely self-motivated and driven to achieve results
  • Assertive approach to solving problems
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to thirty pounds
  • SAE collegiate competition team (Formula, Baja, etc.) preferred
  • 3D CAD modeling and software preferred
  • Mechanical hobbyist preferred
