Prototype Build Engineer - Associate

Job Summary:

Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Prototype Build Engineer - Associate for a contract position.

What You Will Do:

The Prototype Build Engineer will manage all prototype build activities, including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, coordinating purchasing, tracking development, and program timing for engine system parts. This role involves leading multiple teams to ensure all program deliverables are met and resolving issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing processes, and timing. The engineer must be capable of directing issue resolution at all levels.

This position is onsite five days a week.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle build processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare presentations and present to all levels.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple programs and communicating status to management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience with Formula SAE or relevant automotive internships.
