This role offers a base pay range of $69,500.00/yr - $95,500.00/yr
. The position is open to candidates anywhere in the United States; preferred candidates are near a Jacobs U.S. office, but the "best" candidates will be considered.

We are looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who is excited about projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You will work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities, managing the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, providing on‑site assistance during startup, and coordinating with other staff and discipline leads. You will help design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers and designers.
Your responsibilities include developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, documenting and modeling design information, and ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control
- Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS and other control applications preferred
- Experience working with Data Centers
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams
- Passion for buildings and construction
