Senior Telecommunications Engineer

• Lead BIM designers in preparing engineering drawings
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents
• Mentor and train other telecom team members
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages
• Collaborate with lead engineer/department manager to identify process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution
• Minimum 8 years of experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 standards as they apply to telecommunications structured cabling
• Proficiency with Bluebeam
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients
• Excellent project management skills
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs
• Experience providing quality assurance for telecommunications systems designed by others
• Experience in startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems
• Experience creating and maintaining project budgets and schedules
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk
• PE license; ability to obtain multiple PE licenses is required

• 4 years of telecommunications design experience in data centers
• Experience with other low‑voltage systems (security, audio/visual, wireless)
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls and security systems
• Expertise in CSI or AIA specification writing procedures
• Credential as an RCDD
