Senior Telecommunications Engineer

Base pay range$/yr – $/yr
Responsibilities- Lead BIM designers in preparing engineering drawings
- Create or modify DIV 27 specifications
- Conduct site visits and review technical documents
- Mentor and train other telecom team members
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Sign and seal telecommunications design packages
- Collaborate with lead engineer/department manager to identify process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems
- Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 standards as they apply to telecommunications structured cabling
- Proficiency with Bluebeam
- Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients
- Excellent project management skills
- Familiarity with responding to RFPs
- Experience providing quality assurance for telecommunications systems designed by others
- Experience in startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems
- Experience creating and maintaining project budgets and schedules
- Experience identifying and mitigating company risk
- PE license; ability to obtain multiple PE licenses is required
- 4 years of telecommunications design experience in data centers
- Experience with other low‑voltage systems (security, audio/visual, wireless)
- Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls and security systems
- Expertise in CSI or AIA specification writing procedures
- Credential as an RCDD
