A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.
Role:Quality Engineer II
As the Quality Engineer II, you will:
- Lead and support manufacturing quality related issues, analyze customer return defects (HW/SW testing), and conduct root cause investigations
- Manage OEM Change Point Control processes for Honda and Toyota
- Conduct warranty claims analysis and manufacturing quality data analytics to identify trends and drive improvements
- Report quality status to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Standardize and maintain manufacturing quality documentation and workflow processes to improve efficiency and compliance
- Ensure timely and compliant submission of customer-required documentation
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of direct automotive electronics manufacturing quality experience, including quality system management, communicating with OEM Quality teams, and collaboration with overseas Manufacturing/Engineering teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical knowledge in automotive electronics quality manufacturing processes and standards (e.g., IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of Statistics/Problem Solving Tools:
Minitab, Power
BI, Six Sigma, 8D, 5-Why, root cause analysis in manufacturing - Experience with large production lines, manufacturing quality control plans, PFMEAs, process control, and quality system audits
- Ability to travel domestically/internationally up to once per week and as needed
- Capable of managing small sample shipments weekly (1–3 lb samples, up to 100 defective cores in 2–3 boxes, ~5–10 lbs total)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
