Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing embedded software for Braking Systems, Steering Systems and Parking Systems using model-based development tools (MATLAB/Simulink) or C/C++.
- Designing software control algorithms for real-time embedded applications, including feed-forward and feed-back control, signal processing, and system optimization.
- Utilizing simulation tools (Simulink, Truck Sim, Ame Sim) to create mathematical models of physical systems, allowing real-time simulations to test and validate control strategies, tuning parameters, and safety measures, refining algorithms as needed.
- Developing and integrating software for microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
- Performing software verification, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Conducting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) bench testing to validate embedded control software in simulated environments.
- Supporting hardware/software integration and validation activities.
- Creating and maintaining documentation including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electronics, mechatronics, and mechanical and functional safety teams to specify system requirements and functionality.
- Participating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) where applicable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience in embedded controls development.
- Strong experience of longitudinal, lateral and yaw vehicle dynamics.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software development tools.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.).
- Familiarity with model-based design and simulation tools.
- Experience with Braking or Steering or Parking Systems development is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of control theory and algorithm design.
- Experience with software verification and HIL testing tools (e.g., dSPACE, NI Veri Stand, Vector CANoe).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
