Your Key Responsibilities

• The Co‑op will be assigned an engineering project aligned with Schaeffler’s current research and development initiatives within the Engine or Chassis departments. The Co‑op will collaborate with the engineering team daily, contributing to a range of innovative and technically challenging projects.
• EE integration of mechatronics systems and components (including sizing, e.g., e‑motor), reviewing interface specifications, wiring schematics, creating wire harnesses and electrical triage, and integrating into HiL and vehicle environments.
• Circuit design and analysis/testing (e.g., analog filtering, sensorics), PCBA prototyping, wiring schematics.
• Market research of EE products, benchmarking, and documentation.
• Interfacing with cross‑functional teams and effective communication to complete tasks.
• Independent work capability with openness to instruction and development opportunities such as projects, job rotation, hands‑on training, and exposure to Schaeffler’s manufacturing and technological processes.

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self‑motivated, driven to achieve results, and able to prioritize
• Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods and lift/move up to 30 pounds
• Willingness to learn and an assertive approach to solving problems
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across organizational levels
