Job Location: Troy, MI

Job Summary: As a co-op with innovation and technology, you will be responsible for the tasks and project management towards defined Research and Development objectives established by the functional manager. Your tasks may include but are not limited to microscopy, mechanical testing, data analysis, and reporting. Specifically, during the fall 2023 project, you will be required to investigate test conditions and set up material conditions and dimensions as they impact VDA 238-100 bend test results.

This project will require you to test different materials with a range of bend angles.

Required Education/

Experience:

• Active progress towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in physical science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Proficient in mass scale data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Able to communicate to a variety of internal customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage in project planning and execution including the correction for deviations as encountered during project progress.
• Communicate with internal customers towards completion of research projects and/or service assignments aligned with plant support.
• Investigate test conditions and set up material conditions and dimensions as they impact VDA 238-100 bend test results.
• Manually measure bend angles.
