The Co‑op will be assigned an engineering project aligned with Schaeffler’s current research and development initiatives within the Engine or Chassis departments. In addition, the Co‑op will collaborate closely with the engineering team on a daily basis, contributing to a range of innovative and technically challenging projects.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• EE integration of mechatronics systems and components (incl. sizing, e.g. e‑motor), reviewing interface specifications, wiring schematics, creating wire harnesses and electrical triage [macroscopic] -> integration into HiL, Vehicle environments
• Circuit design and analysis/testing (e.g., analog filtering, sensorics), PCBA prototyping, wiring schematics [microscopic]
• Market research of EE products, benchmark, and documentation
• Interfacing teams – effectively communicate with these cross functional teams in order to effectively complete assigned tasks
• Participants should be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction
• S/he will be given developmental opportunities through tasks such as projects, job‑rotation, hands‑on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's manufacturing and technological processes

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely self‑motivated & driven to achieve results
• Ability to prioritize
• The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move thirty pounds
• Exhibit a willingness to learn
• Assertive approach to solving problems
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship skills with an ability to collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
