Structural Design Technician – Jacobs Base Pay Range

$61,100.00/yr - $84,000.00/yr

As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing team, you will work closely with clients and construction trade partners to develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs to consider existing conditions and other disciplines.

You will convey structural requirements to the construction team through traditional 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models. Additionally, you will have the chance to provide leadership for a small project, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and building and maintaining team morale.

• Develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs with existing conditions and other disciplines.
• Communicate structural requirements through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
• Lead a small project team, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and maintaining team morale.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit experience.
• At least 3 years of AutoCAD design experience.

• At least 2 years of Revit experience.
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience leading a team of designers.
• Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
