Commercial Title & Escrow Officer – eTITLE Agency, Inc., Troy, MI

Base pay range: $ / yr – $ / yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Prepare for and close complex commercial transactions in compliance with industry standards, agency policies, and underwriter requirements.
  • Title Services Delivery: Provide accurate and timely title and escrow services, ensuring commitments and policies are delivered on time.
  • Client Communication: Monitor and respond to client communications daily, ensuring timely updates and resolution of inquiries to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management: Exercise sound judgment in addressing escalations, resolving issues, and mitigating risk throughout the closing process.
  • Process Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain best practices for commercial escrow, title and construction draw services delivery across multiple states.
  • Underwriter Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between underwriters and the agency to ensure compliance and resolve complex title issues.
  • Training & Development: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to train and mentor team members on commercial closing procedures and title principles.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to title bulletins, regulatory requirements, and agency standards for accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
  • Licensed attorney or experienced escrow/title officer with commercial transaction expertise and title producer license.
  • Strong knowledge of title insurance principles, underwriting guidelines, and closing practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Leadership experience in developing and implementing operational best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other experienced title attorneys and staff.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and underwriter requirements.
