** The Credit Products Specialist I – Specialized supports the underwriting, structuring, and management of commercial credit relationships with assigned specialized vertical or region. This role exists to provide critical financial analysis, assist in risk assessment, and ensure sound credit decision-making. As a key partner to sakes, this position helps structure new loan transactions, conduct portfolio monitoring, and identify potential risks.
The role provides foundational credit expertise and exposure to client relationships, supporting the bank’s commitment to responsible lending and portfolio growth.

* Job Responsibilities:

* ** Loan Structuring & Underwriting**:
Assist sales in analyzing financial statements, assessing borrower creditworthiness, and preparing credit approval packages within assigned specialized vertical or region.
* Portf
* * olio Management**:
Monitor financial trends, covenant compliance, and borrowing bases to identify potential credit risks and recommend actions.
* ** Client & Internal Partner Collaboration**:
Work alongside sales and credit teams to structure deals, address underwriting inquiries, and support client needs. Act as a mentor to analysts, sharing expertise in financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment.
* ** Credit Knowledge Development**:
Stay informed on market trends, credit policies, and risk mitigation techniques to strengthen expertise in commercial lending.
* Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions regarding assigned portfolio
* Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to the assigned portfolio.

** JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Required Qualifications:
*** Education level required:
Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience
* Minimum experience required: 2+ Years in credit underwriting, portfolio management, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in the direct specialized line of business (Specialized commercial industries, capital markets, corporate commercial banking, etc.)
* Strong financial analysis and risk assessment abilities.
* Basic understanding of loan structuring and credit agreements.
* Proficiency in financial modeling and credit decision tools.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Strong foundational understanding of financial statements, key ratios, and credit analysis principles.
* Analytical Thinking:
Ability to assess financial data, identify trends, and evaluate borrower creditworthiness.

* Collaboration & Communication:
Works effectively with RMs, credit officers, and other stakeholders; strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Technology Proficiency:
Intermediate Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), familiarity with credit analysis software.

Willingness to develop credit expertise, stay informed on industry trends, and apply new knowledge to underwriting and portfolio management.
* Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
