We are looking for a full time medical biller in our office in Troy, Michigan.
Responsibilities- Collecting the information required to create a claim
- Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
- Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims
- Handling collections on unpaid accounts
- Managing the facility's Accounts Receivable reports – posting payments both patient and insurance
- Answering patients billing questions
- Other tasks as assigned
- Must have strong computer/EMR skills
- Be detailed oriented
- Experience in healthcare billing required
