We are seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to lead complex commercial litigation matters from initial intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, arbitration, trial, and appeals. This role is designed for a seasoned litigator who thrives on strategy, autonomy, and client leadership.

The ideal candidate brings deep litigation experience, sound judgment, and the ability to guide clients through high‑stakes disputes with clarity and confidence.

• Manage commercial litigation matters end-to-end, from intake through successful resolution
• Review and analyze complex client documents and case materials
• Conduct advanced legal research and prepare detailed legal analysis to support litigation strategy
• Draft pleadings, discovery, substantive motions, case evaluation statements, and legal memoranda
• Conduct discovery and take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and attend arbitration hearings, trials, and related proceedings
• Provide strategic counsel and direction to clients throughout the litigation process
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients regarding case status and strategy

• Assumes ownership of assigned commercial litigation matters with minimal ramp‑up
• Demonstrates strong command of case strategy, motion practice, and discovery execution
• Builds client trust through responsiveness, clarity, and strategic guidance
• Integrates seamlessly with firm leadership and litigation support teams

• Reports directly to the Managing Member, Frank Simon
• Works closely with attorneys, paralegals, analysts, and firm leadership

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD)
• Admitted to practice in the State of Michigan

Required Experience

• 10+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Significant experience managing cases through discovery, depositions, motions, and trial-level proceedings

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Portable book of business not required (will consider candidates with or without one)
• Experience with complex, high-stakes commercial disputes
