Our Supply Chain professionals help analyze each part of the supply chain process including Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Logistics and Distribution, and Integrated Demand and Supply Planning to identify value creation opportunities and develop roadmaps. The PEPI Supply Chain group is growing with opportunities for career advancement and leadership development.

We are seeking individuals to deliver large, complex client engagements by working with Private Equity leadership to help identify, design, and implement solutions for portfolio companies. The Senior Associate, Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics will typically participate in engagements in at least two of the following areas:

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s supply chain including manufacturing and distribution locations, baseline product flow and seasonality, operating costs, and key processes in sourcing, planning, and operations.
• Develop a structured approach to assessing improvement opportunities and define strategies and tactics to meet growth and financial objectives.
• Analyze supply chain network design and footprints:
  • Baseline warehousing and distribution network cost structure and capacity utilization
  • Profile supply chain processes and inventory flows throughout the network
  • Analyze network optimization opportunities for cost, inventory, and service delivery (experience with modeling software such as Llamasoft or other if available):
    • Optimal number and location of distribution centers / network configuration
    • Optimal inventory flow through the network (e.g., ship from DC vs. ships from stores; supplier drop-ship options; optimal stocking positions)
    • Develop high-level planning model to support inventory optimization across networks
• Assist in sourcing events related to transportation and warehousing including spend baseline assessments, process and requirements, and conducting RFI/RFP processes, negotiations and contracting. Experience in sourcing events involving 3PLs is preferred.
• Assess inventory planning processes and systems and recommend opportunities to optimize service levels and working capital.
• Help develop transformation plans to drive changes in transportation, freight optimization, warehousing & distribution, and develop an implementation plan with estimated benefits (OPEX / inventory / service delivery).
