LG Magna e-Powertrain USA, Inc is a newly established US subsidiary headquartered in South Korea, formed through a joint venture by LG Electronics Vehicle Solution and Magna International. Located in Southeast Michigan, LG Magna USA provides engineering, sales, and quality solutions for developing electric vehicle products such as drive motors, power conversion devices, and related integrated systems.
Overall Responsibilities:The S&OP Analyst supports the end‑to‑end Sales and Operations Planning process, helping ensure alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and material supply. This role assists in driving sales target achievement, demand forecasting, and operational execution through data analysis and reporting.
Demand & Planning- Analyze EDI data and PSI reports from OEMs to ensure accurate demand and supply visibility.
- Collaborate with HQ Sales team to set monthly sales targets and develop strategies to achieve business objectives by aligning demand and supply planning to optimize inventory and production, including setting service level targets (SVC).
- Perform regular analysis of sales and operational performance for management review on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Maintain strong communication with customers to support collaboration and issue resolution.
- Facilitate S&OP activities between LG Magna manufacturing plants and customers, proactively engaging with OEMs to address issues and respond to support requests in a timely manner.
- Recommend S&OP solutions to OEMs to resolve mismatches between materials and part numbers.
- Participate in S&OP meetings with headquarters and engineering meetings to support Program Manager as needed.
- Issue the Sales Orders (SO) and Purchase Orders (PO) in the internal ERP system, including support for RMA‑related tasks.
- Issue purchase orders for production MVB parts and coordinate material supply to customers through outsourced warehouses.
- Adjust material breakpoints as needed based on material availability and OEM requirements as directed.
- Apply Engineering Work Order (EWO) results in material supply plans and prepare contingency plans as directed.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing facility to plan warehouse operations to ensure inventory readiness and on‑time delivery.
- Review and coordinate appropriate material labeling requirements.
- Coordinate shipment documentation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Recommend adjustments in OEM plant shipment schedules based on material readiness and PPAP approval status.
- Assist with expedite orders and obsolescence with OEMs, handle valid claims, and reconcile cumulative shipments versus orders.
- Support accounts receivable and credit lines to support supply planning operations.
- Track performance results by collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive business performance and develop reports for estimated and actual revenue figures to management and headquarters.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of Automotive industry experience.
- Ability to be organized and detail focused on communications and process documentation.
- Skills to solve complex customer & supplier issues and provide alternative solutions.
- Skills in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP, MRP, and WMS.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (International & Domestic).
- Ability to work early and late hours for global virtual business meetings.
- Experience in manufacturing environment & OEM supply chain role (S&OP, Demand planning, Supply Planning).
- Bilingual in Korea and English.
