GENERALSUMMARY:
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a team of 9 Neonatologists and 18 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in managing patients 24/7 in the Beaumont Royal Oak and Troy Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Additional duties include attendance at high-risk deliveries and transport of critically ill newborns to and from Beaumont Royal Oak and Troy Hospitals.
The team provides 24/7 coverage for the NICU and attends all high-risk deliveries ilable as needed to assist the team of Neonatal ICU NPs.

- Assess physical and psychosocial status via interview, health history, physical exam, and diagnostics.
- Recognize deviations from normal, collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, blood products, and therapeutic measures per protocols.
- Determine patient eligibility for clinical trials.
- Request consultations, interpret study/test results, relay information to physicians.
- Administer therapies, evaluate care quality, and suggest improvements.
- Implement therapeutic plans, communicate follow-up summaries.
- Provide preventive health services and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Assist in managing family dynamics, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, provide on-call coverage, and perform patient triage.
Education / Training:
- Master's Degree in Nursing with Neonatal specialization (NNP)
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years in a clinical specialty setting preferred.
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- Michigan Nurse Practitioner license required
- AHA BLS and NRP Certification required
