Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Associate Mortgage Banker to support our sales team by engaging prospective clients and qualifying leads. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential borrowers, using our automated dialer system to initiate conversations and assess their mortgage needs. Your goal is to gather key information, communicate the value of our mortgage products, and seamlessly transition qualified prospects to our Loan Officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a high volume of outbound dials to new leads, returned inquiries, past clients, and referral sources.
  • Engage prospective borrowers to understand their goals, gather preliminary information, and assess level of interest.
  • Warm up and nurture leads through consistent follow-up, clear communication, and relationship building.
  • Document and track all call notes, client interactions, and lead movement in the CRM and lead management systems.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused tone throughout conversations.
  • Collaborate with the Mortgage Banker team on lead strategy, pipeline priorities, and outreach campaigns.
  • Qualify the client and send their account information to Loan Officers to process their application.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits of our mortgage and products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with Loan Officers to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads
  • Meet or exceed daily and weekly call quotas and performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a call center environment
  • Strong interest in the mortgage or financial services industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls and handling objections professionally
  • Goal-oriented with a competitive mindset and drive to meet or exceed performance metrics
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
