About

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be part of the groundbreaking team making the future of complex chronic care delivery the way it should be – human‑centered and personalized. The Business Development Manager drives the engine that powers referrals and patient growth. In this key role, you’ll showcase your sales ability, strategic planning acumen, relationship building prowess, in‑service knowhow, and problem‑solving skills.

What Youll Do

Own the development and cultivation of relationships with key referral sources in the market, serving as the face of Uptiv Health to referral resources.

Drive, manage, and own referral generation, growth, and expansion for your assigned territory.

Develop comprehensive sales targets and territory plans with the goal of supercharging referral growth. Cultivate a diversified (multi‑specialty) portfolio of leads and referral sources. Develop multiple, strong relationships and touchpoints at referring doctors offices and clinics.

  • Be a visible brand champion within your market partner with referral sources and non‑profit partners to increase brand visibility and trust at local events and trade shows.
What Youll Need
  • 4+ years of experience in, and a track record of, successful referral based medical sales (preferred).
  • Emotional intelligence, strong relational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with referral sources, team members, and vendors in methods appropriate for the audience.
  • The skill to manage your resources, time, and bandwidth to deliver the most value for all stakeholders and drive referral growth and conversion.
  • Developed presentation, organizational, writing, in‑service, customer service, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance plans, the authorization process, and requirements to convert a referral into an authorization as well as a familiarity with medical terminology.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Strong track record of exceeding sales goals and driving results.
  • Familiar with medical software such as EMRs, patient engagement platforms, and practice management solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with your operations counterpart, team members (all levels of the org), internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and referring physicians to seek mutually beneficial solutions and remedy issues.
