Business Development Sales Representative

As a Business Development Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Windmill Transport’s services in accordance with established sales policies and procedures, and in pursuit of the Company’s goals and objectives.

• Responsible for driving company margins through continued client retention and new client development.
• Maintains a prospect lead list and closes minimum of 6 new accounts every quarter.
• Oversees client retention and customer service.
• Put together annual growth plans including load count and margin growth plans for each account.
• Overseeing and responsible for RFP pricing by collaborating with operations personnel.
• May visit top three accounts face to face a minimum of once per calendar year.
• Participates in weekly or monthly meetings around Hot Leads, Account Reviews to foster teamwork and touchpoints with your supervisor.
• Align quarterly and monthly goals with your supervisor.
• Monitor and ensure shippers KPIS are being met, while delivering on superior customer service.
• Understand what is happening operationally with your accounts at all times.
• Expected to be on the phone prospecting and finding new leads for a minimum of 60% of your week.

• Possess organizational skills in a detail-oriented setting.
• Team player with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environment.
• Ability to stay focused and hit minimum 50 calls per day for first 6 months.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field Preferred.
• MS Office Skills and related computer knowledge.
• 0-3 years of New Account Management with results of growth experience.
• Preferred 1-3 years of Account Management experience or relevant experience.
• Preferred 1-3 years of customer service experience.

• Skills with computers:
  Emailing, MS office, Excel, etc.
• Ability to make phone calls each day and utilize technology suite of products for customers and internal operations.
• Build relationships through phone and email with shippers.
