The Research Assistant in Biological and Environmental Sciences is responsible for conducting aquatic field and laboratory research. This work includes but is not limited to field locations, collecting data sheets, participating in data entry and analysis. This work may also include surveys of focal species and laboratory work that builds upon data from the field.
Minimum Qualifications- 1. High School diploma or equivalent
- 2. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- 3. Ability to work in a collaborative group for an extended period of time
- 4. Must possess a valid driver’s license
- 5. Must be comfortable working outdoors

- 6. Familiarity with aquatic sampling techniques
Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties?
Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.

Hazardous Conditions or Physical Demands- 1. Ability to carry sampling gear and environmental samples while hiking
- 2. Ability to navigate up and down stream banks
- 3. Ability to conduct work outdoors in warm, humid weather, wearing proper PPE (waders, etc.)
