The Warehouse Associate supports daily operations by managing inventory, preparing orders, receiving deliveries, and organizing HVAC equipment, parts, and materials. This role ensures technicians have what they need to complete jobs efficiently and safely.
CoreJob Requirements
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction industries is a plus.
Technical &Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly (HVAC equipment, tools, furnaces, A/C units, etc.).
Comfortable operating warehouse equipment:
- Forklift (certification preferred or provided)
- Pallet jack
- Hand trucks
Basic computer skills for inventory software, order processing, and communication.
Ability to work in varying environments (hot/cold warehouse conditions).
Strong organizational skills for parts management and bin tracking.
Inventory & Warehouse DutiesReceive, inspect, and stock incoming HVAC equipment, parts, and materials.
Pull parts and equipment for technicians and staging job orders.
Assist with returns, warranty parts, and restocking processes.
Maintain clean and organized shelves, racking, and warehouse layout.
Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
Prepare outgoing shipments and manage delivery coordination if required.
Safety & ComplianceFollow company safety procedures, PPE guidelines, and OSHA standards.
Safely handle heavy equipment and refrigerant components.
Maintain accurate logs for regulated materials when applicable.
Soft Skills & Behavioral ExpectationsStrong communication skills for coordinating with technicians, office staff, and vendors.
Attention to detail to prevent inventory errors or mis-picks.
Dependability and punctuality.
Team-oriented mindset but able to work independently as needed.
Ability to prioritize tasks during busy seasons (especially summer/winter).
AdditionalPreferred Qualifications
HVAC parts knowledge or willingness to learn (filters, capacitors, motors, fittings, etc.).
Valid driver’s license for occasional deliveries or equipment pickups.
Experience working with field technicians or service departments.
