MRI Technologist

Overview

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Two registries working in area or Super User for select programs.

• Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime
  :
  The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

• Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area.
• Required
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor s degree.
• Other: IV Insertion
  * Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge. Working Conditions, Mental and
  
  Physical Requirements:
  
  Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.
  * Continual standing or walking.
  * Adapt to stressful situations. Equipment Used:
  Should be proficient in the use of MRI Scanners, Power Injectors, workstations and Computers.
