Assistant Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Owner in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and outstanding care of the dogs in our charge. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of kennel management, and the ability to manage various kennel functions effectively.

• Assist in overseeing daily kennel operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage team performance by providing training, coaching, and support to staff members.
• Supervise shift management activities, ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed and operational goals are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment that aligns with company standards.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to foster a positive experience for both them and their dog(s).

• Proven experience in kennel management or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of employees.
• Proficiency in online booking systems and basic math skills for accurate financial transactions.
• Knowledge of canine breeds, temperaments, and grooming needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays as needed.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.

• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
