Low Voltage Technician (Finance) – Essential Functions
- Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (for example, security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
- Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
- Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability. Identifies and resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtime. Fixes faults or damages to restore optimal operation.
- Provides technical support and training to end users on operating and maintaining low voltage systems.
- Ensures installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follows safety guidelines and maintains records of installations, maintenance, and repairs; generates reports on system performance and activities.
- Collaborates with technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete projects successfully.
- Communicates with clients to understand needs and provide solutions; stays informed on industry trends and best practices.
