Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisions to youth, monitoring their conduct, care, and therapy across residential and day‑treatment settings.
  • Conduct physical counts, secure premises, and intervene with physical restraints when necessary to maintain safety.
  • Supervise youth during work activities, recreational and religious programs, and perform regular inspections for health and safety hazards.
  • Assist youth with personal issues, refer to group treatment, and maintain daily reports of behavioral conditions.
  • Implement group and individual treatment plans, model professional boundaries, and interact positively with families and staff.
  • Prepare progress reports, maintain client records, dispense medications, and perform first‑aid interventions including CPR.
  • Transport and escort youth in everyday and emergency situations, work shifts, and attend mandatory meetings.
  • Log work hours and submit timesheets accurately; assist in educational programming as required.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of individual and group behavior, child development, juvenile delinquency causes, and current youth treatment methods.
  • Ability to work with youth, foster cooperation in treatment, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Proficiency in verbal and physical crisis intervention, de‑escalation techniques, and emergency procedures.
  • Transport youth and travel as required.
Education & Experience
  • Sixty or more earned credit hours from an accredited college or university, with at least six earned credit hours in Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work; or
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience (earned credit hours may substitute for up to three years of experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours per year).
Special Requirement Possession of a valid driver’s license. Benefits
