Position Summary

The Load Coordinator plans, schedules, and manages freight movements to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation. This role coordinates truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, maintains strong customer and broker relationships, monitors load activity, and resolves transportation issues to support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule TL and LTL freight for assigned regions.
  • Manage reload opportunities and assign drivers to maximize fleet utilization.
  • Enter and maintain freight orders, load information, and shipment documentation.
  • Monitor shipment status, loading/unloading activities, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and brokers regarding load updates, schedule changes, and service issues.
  • Track and report detention, lumper, and OSD (over, short, and damaged) claims.
  • Resolve transportation and customer service issues promptly.
  • Follow up on detention requests and outstanding load payments.
  • Assist with training new team members and support continuous process improvements.
  • Uphold company values and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
  • Transportation, logistics, dispatching, or freight coordination experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of TL and LTL freight operations.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with logistics software, EDI/API systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to type 30-35 WPM or greater.
Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, on-site. Schedule flexibility and occasional extended hours may be required to meet business needs.
